trip to worcester college + twelfth night performance = good day
a little offbeat offcenter offbalance
and i want nothing more than to go in
worcester college: outside the athletic center

still a little tilted, without observers
day sixteen:
i found such an awesome dress this day, but stupidly didn’t buy it.

letters to home.

on awesome stationery.
day seventeen:
my philosophy class went to a graveyard for class. presumably to help with our philosophizing. i’m not so sure: it was a little uncomfortable since our debate topic was infanticide. thankyou peter singer.

marketplace – the farmer’s market comes to cornmarket square every wednesday i think.

the tastiest truck i’ve ever seen. also at the marketplace.

coffee shop in st magdalen, i think. coffee concerts are the best.

former poet laureate andrew motion! i highly recommend the cinder path.
this is when i started slacking completely a bit.
only three pictures per three days! what.

day eleven: the park near christ church college. so pretty there…they have a path that goes right along the river for miles… and haybales and cows

day twelve: horrible quality photo, but awesome incident- drunk guy struggling against the police.

day thirteen: at a production of henry V. their costumes were really nice
and for some reason they had a small wooden effigy ?
london was amazing! even though i’ve already been there, i had forgotten the feel of the city. oh, and we got left behind by the rest of the class and the teacher. it was still fun. it really is a great place to be.

grey london sky, so typical and awesome. westminster abbey is absolutely breathtaking.

brian haw! he’s been protesting in parliament square for close to 8 years, i think. my brother and i interviewed him about five years ago, and i met him again in london this year! small world.
the day of the athletic equipment. we bought a baseball glove, ball, and bat (so american that they only had one in the store), and also ball that morphs into a frisbee. good day all around.

the morphing frisball. it’s so lovely :3 except when it hits me in the face, then not so much.

katie !! she’s awesome, even though she uses nikon
kinda blue.
day seven:

the talent show ~
day eight:

the only time i’ve ever been mauled by a ladybug. did you know they had teeth? well they have SOMETHING sharp attached to their mouths. and they hurt! >.>;

street performers <3 they are so awesome there. when you walk down cornmarket street, there are at least three, like alllll the time. amazing stuff.
day six…the day our lit&psych teacher led us on an exciting journey to jericho. fun fact of the day: radiohead got their start right in jericho tavern

a building. with ivy. in jericho ~

i was in a b&w mood this day? anyway, this is one of the MANY bikes lying around oxford. this one actually still had all its tires attached, which is rare. also: in the distance up ahead, there’s my literature and psychology class.
bonus: conformist

very opinionated people there. the bumper stickers say, in no particular order:
“BLAME CANADA.” “Be kind to animals- don’t eat them.” “I’m taking action (WWF) for a living planet.” “I’ll be post-feminist in the post-patriarchy.” “Let’s keep theocracy out of our democracy.” “a hamburger stops a beating heart.” “Don’t take your organs to heaven…heaven knows we need them here!” “CONFORMIST.” “One less SUV.” “Peace is possible!” “I blame my parents.” “Wow! Your fur coat really makes you look like a heartless monster.” “One less 4×4″ and finally, “Thank science I’m an atheist!”
thank you, and goodnight
days four and five :
day four:

inside the library at the student union. guest speaker that day was either helen kidd or don winslow. either way!
day five:

um, this is my wrist. and hair. because i liked that lighting?
ANOTHER day five:

it’s a paper crane! i freaked out the creative writing class by sneaking into their room in the middle of the night, making a crane out of their supplies, and taping it to the board. ohoho, i so have a life.
days two and three!

the church right outside of pembroke college. they sure like to sing :]

the view from inside a starbucks.
more days coming. 20 something more, i believe.
